The Leafs have seen a pretty sharp uptick in prospect production in the early going this season, with several prospects turning heads and dominating their respective leagues. Well, now there's another Leafs prospect worth talking about after undrafted free agent Braeden Kressler set a new career high on Wednesday night.

The Kitchener, ON native had himself a night for the Flint Firebirds on Wednesday against the Saginaw Spirit, posting 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points and leading his team to a thrilling 7-2 victory. Kressler's 4-point night was a career best. He was also named OHL performer of the night.

Kressler, 19, signed his 3-year ELC with the Leafs back in October of 2021. He appeared in 28 regular season games for the Firebirds last season, tallying 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points. The diminutive center also posted a very respectable 10 points in 17 playoff games last season. He's now up to 7 points in just 3 games this season.

"[Kressler] is patient with the puck, looks for the best option, even if it is behind him. His speed is derived from a sound stride form, knees that bend to 90 degrees and advance past his toes, flexing his ankle for quickness and agility."

The Leafs have Kressler under contract through 2024-25. He'll still be under team control as a restricted free agent at the conclusion of his current deal.
