Habs forward Josh Anderson delivers the ugliest and dirtiest hit of the season; a lengthy suspension very likely incoming

Montreal Canadiens winger Josh Anderson is at his best when he plays on the edge. Part of the problem with players who play on the edge, however, is that every now and again, they tend to cross a line and that's exactly what happened on Saturday in Montreal.

During the third period, Anderson caught Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo from behind, right in the numbers, at full speed in front of the Vegas bench, sending him crashing head-first into the boards. Anderson received a 5-minute major and a game misconduct for the ugly hit, which can be seen below:

Thankfully, Pietrangelo was able to finish the game for the Golden Knights, but this one had the potential to do some real damage. It would be absolutely shocking if the Department of Player Safety didn't offer Anderson a hearing for this hit. If that's not "intent to injure", I don't know what is.
