Hot mic catches former Leaf laying into official, threatening to pummel an opposing player
With today being Martin Luther King Day in the US, there are a handful of afternoon games on. One of those games is the Philadelphia Flyers versus the Boston Bruins in what was a bit of a chippy affair.
Near the end of the second period, Travis Konecny and former Leaf Nick Foligno were engaged following a whistle when both were assessed penalties. Konecny received a penalty for roughing while Foligno received one for cross-checking. As the ref was announcing the penalties, Foligno was being escorted to the box and in passing said a few things to the official while his mic was on.
The hot mic picked up Foligno chirping at the official, threatening to go after Konecny and broadcasting some inappropriate commentary to the entire arena.
