By the midway point of the third period John Tavares had a goal and assist and the Leafs were up 3-2. Coming off the bench for Auston Matthews, Tavares picked up the puck at the flyers blueline and proceeded to put on a show.
First he faked out Travis Sanheim pulling the puck back then slipped it behind him and went around the other side before driving the net and stuffing the puck past an out-stretched Felix Sandstrom. Undoubtedly a goal-of-the-year candidate from Tavares.
JT has a knack for scoring highlight reel goals against the Flyers as he scored one against them in overtime when he was with the Islanders a few years back as well.
