The NHL recently implemented new technologies all over the arena, whether it be all the new cameras placed around the rink or teams having iPads on the bench to monitor previous shifts and/or plays. Well, for the Philadelphia Flyers, they'll have one less tool to use to their advantage, as John Tortorella has banned the use of iPads on the bench for the Flyers.

It became known that the Flyers have stopped using their iPads during their 5-3 victory against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night. More information came out after the game when reporters and media members alike bombarded Torts with their questions. He was his usual quick witted yet dry self and said that players should worry about their next shift rather than their last one.

He went into detail about how he believed it was a major problem for his team and that they were too focused on what happened in their last shift, instead of focusing on the momentum of the game in front of them, as they are waiting for their next shift.

Most players on the Flyers weren't fans of the tablets to begin with except Travis Konecny - the team's leading scorer with 24 goals and 46 points. Many of his teammates jokingly chirped him once they were removed because he so often used them.

The Flyers have won 6 of their last 7 games and 8 of their last 12 after enduring a tough stretch where they only won 3 out of a possible 20 games. Maybe Tortorella is up to something with the removal of the iPads. Either way, we'll find out.
