Josh Manson TKO's Jamie Benn with a nasty right cross
Two heavyweight warriors clashed on Monday night, as Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn and Colorado Avalanche defenseman dropped the gloves and threw down - and boy, oh boy, did this one ever have one nasty finish.
About 4 and a half minutes into the 2nd period of a very close game between the Stars and Avs, Benn locked horns with Manson, sticking up for a teammate, and the two gladiators knew right from the onset that this one was going to be a wild one.
Manson attempted to punk out Benn with a head-fake just before they locked up and began to throw hands. This one did not last long, as Benn didn't even get to throw a punch. Manson rag-dolled Benn and landed a few shots before putting Benn's lights out with a huge right cross.
It's not too often where you see Jamie Benn manhandled like that. Thankfully, he didn't appear to be hurt and was able to get right back up under his own power. Also, credit to Manson for not throwing a punch once Benn was down.
