Sunday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning did not go well for anybody with a Leaf on their chest. A bad start, bad bounces, bad discipline, bad defence, bad offence, bad goaltending. Nothing went according to plan as the Leafs truly came unraveled, dropping Game 4 in embarrassing fashion.

It's hard to place all the blame on Jack Campbell given the fact that the 5 guys in front of him at any given time in period number one forgot how to play hockey, but we can't exactly absolve him of some blame either. Campbell just wasn't good enough.

Rather than leave him in to try and battle behind a completely disengaged defense, Sheldon Keefe elected to pull Campbell in favour of Erik Kallgren and let Campbell focus on what will be a pivotal Game 5.

Campbell is a true competitor and wasn't happy with being pulled. He and Keefe had a long talk during the commercial break after Keefe gave him the hook. Campbell clearly wanted to stay in the game and try to help the team get back into it. That's just the type of person he is. Unfortunately 5 goals was too much for Keefe to tolerate. It's true that not every goal was Campbell's fault, but you need a save on one or two of those. Jack will be back in game 5 with a chip on his shoulder.

The Leafs managed to get a few, dropping a 7-3 decision to the Bolts. They have been very good at bouncing back after losses all season and in this series. I'm confident we'll see a better effort out of them on Tuesday in Toronto. Leafs in 6!
