Leafs fans got their first glimpse of 2022 2nd round pick Fraser Minten in the Traverse City Prospect Tournament this week during a Thursday matchup against the Dallas Stars prospect and Friday evening against the St. Louis Blues prospects and the 18-year-old has certainly shown his penchant for physical play.

During Friday night's skirmish with the Blues prospects, Minten locked horns with 6'3, 212 lb Brady Lyle, who came to the aid of a teammate who had just been laid out by Minten while falling into the end boards. Despite being 4 years younger than his counterpart, Minten did not back down and actually seemed to get the better of the exchange.

While it was basically a nothing altercation, Minten standing his ground and taking Lyle down to the ice is a sign of the fact that this kid has that dog in him - something that the Leafs don't have in abundance. The 18-year-old Kamloops Blazer will be a welcome addition to the group if that's how he plays the game.
