In an effort to revamp their fourth line, the Leafs signed Nick Aube-Kubel earlier today and have now signed former Sen Adam Gaudette. Gaudette signed a 1-year deal worth $750K.

Gaudette can play both center and right wing. At 25 years old, Gaudette has played in 218 career games and has registered 70 points. The Leafs continue to dive into the unqualified RFAs looking to shore up their bottom 6. Like Aube-Kubel, he will be an RFA at the end of next season.

Following the retirement of Jason Spezza earlier this summer and the likely departure of Colin Blackwell, we knew that no matter what, the Leafs were going to have a very different look in the bottom six. Now, we're beginning to get a clearer picture as to what our bottom 6 may look like next season.

As it stands, the 4th line to start the year is likely Aube-Kubel, Gaudette, Simmonds - but there's still plenty of time for GM Kyle Dubas to keep tinkering and bringing in another piece or two who could see time in a depth role as well.
