The scrap left a lot to be desired in terms of heavy blows, as both Martin and Foligno were trying to grip tight and fight for position to begin delivering haymakers. Unfortunately, nothing much came out of the tilt as the referees stepped in once the two combatants began to tire.
I'm not necessarily sure that Martin meant to paste Nosek into the boards as he was falling. I think he just lined him up for a good, hard hit and it just so happened that Nosek had fallen once Martin had committed to the hit. Nevertheless, sometimes you just have to answer the bell.
