Matthews, Marner and Bunting making the most of their final days of the offseason
With the summer coming to a close and the 2022-23 regular season just around the corner, players will soon be returning to their NHL cities to partake in training camps in preparation for the exhibition schedule, which is set to kick off in just over two weeks time.
In a recent video posted to social media, Matthews, Marner and Bunting are shown playing tennis with one another, sporting ear-to-ear smiles, doing their best to enjoy what remains of their limited time off to bond and heal some of the wounds that came along with another first round exit.
It is expected that players will begin to return to their NHL cities this upcoming week to get into a routine prior to the start of training camp. It's pretty safe to suggest that Matthews, Marner and Bunting won't be competing for roster spots in training camp, but they're definitely going to want to put their best foot forward to get off to a fast start.
