Last night's Flames, Oilers matchup was a wild one, ending in a 9-6 decision for the Flames, who jumped out to an early 1-0 series lead. There was plenty of action in this one and a lot of chirping. The game was also a rough one at times, as you'd expect the Battle of Alberta to be.

One play that had Flames fans fired up was Milan Lucic lining up Oilers captain Connor McDavid for a hit along the boards after the whistle had gone to blow the play dead. Lucic, who was already committed to the hit, made sure to finish his check hard, which led to a scrum.

Evander Kane is not too shy to take on the toughest guys that the opposition has to offer, so naturally, he went right after Lucic for the hit. Unfortunately, the officials didn't want to let them go. With as many as 6 games remaining in this series, I'm sure it's going to be an entertaining series to watch, whether you're an Oilers fan, a Flames fan or a non-partisan Leafs fan who just wants to enjoy watching some hockey with no skin in the game.
