Less than 24 hours after losing to the last place Columbus Blue Jackets on home ice at Scotiabank Arena, the Leafs held an outdoor practice at Nathan Phillips Square in downtown Toronto on Sunday.
The Buds rode the subway and then walked from their stop to the practice ice set up at Nathan Phillips Square and while fans followed the players to the rink, there was arguably nobody receiving more attention than William Nylander, who can be seen below stopping for a selfie with fans after taking only a few steps in between each photo.
At this speed, I'm surprised Nylander even made it to practice! There's no question that Nylander is garnering a lot more respect this season than in years past - likely due to his breakout season. The current team leader in goal scoring has certainly endeared himself to fans this season with his much improved play on both sides of the puck.
