Fresh after the Christmas break, the Toronto Maple Leafs are back in action tonight, taking on the Blues in St. Louis to kick off a 3-game road trip that also includes stops in Arizona and Colorado.

Just prior to the break, the Leafs picked up forward Dryden Hunt in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche that sent Denis Malgin the other way. Hunt is yet to play a game for the Buds and, by the looks of things, he will have to continue to wait to make his Leafs debut. Both Hunt and veteran forward Wayne Simmonds were both on the ice this morning with the team wearing the grey jerseys, identifying them as the extra forwards.

The 27-year-old Hunt is a true journeymen, playing 193 NHL games over the past 6 seasons, scoring 14 goals and adding 28 assists in that time. He has spent time with the Panthers, Coyotes, Rangers and Avalanche.

For those curious, Malgin has played two games for the injury riddled Avs since the trade, going pointless in both. Don't worry though - I'm sure he'll score on Saturday against the Leafs. It's basically automatic at this point.
