Wednesday night's tilt between the Leafs and Oilers will definitely be one to watch. Jake McCabe and Sam Lafferty will make their Leafs debuts, Pierre Engvall and Rasmus Sandin are gone to new homes, and Jack Campbell will play his first game against the Leafs since leaving as a UFA. Well, he might anyway.

Oilers coach Jay Woodcroft was cagey when asked about who tonight's starter will be the the Oilers. Campbell's tenure in Edmonton has been rough so far to say the least. He's in year 1 of a 5-year, $25 million contract and is sporting an ugly .885sv% on the season. Woodcroft refused to tell reporters whether or not Campbell would get the start on Wednesday following the team's game-day skate.

There may be good reason behind this move. Campbell is known to be a bit of a head case in net. When he's confident, he's outstanding, but he often gets into his own head, to the detriment of his game. Perhaps Woodcroft is waiting to announce a starter until the last minute so that Campbell doesn't have time to overthink the prospect of facing off against his old team.

Listen, I liked Campbell during his time in Toronto, but I hope he gets the start tonight, and I hope the Leafs light him up. What kind of Leafs fan would I be if I wasn't hoping for a blowout win tonight?
