The Leafs are back in action on Wednesday evening in the first half of a back-to-back in Alberta, taking on the Oilers tonight in Edmonton before heading into Calgary tomorrow night to take on the Flames. Winners of their last 3 straight, the Leafs will have some new faces in the lineup, as Sam Lafferty and Jake McCabe are expected to make their Leafs debuts. No word yet on whether or not either of Luke Schenn or Erik Gustafsson will slot in as well.

Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner arrived at the arena this morning ahead of the Leafs' optional game-day skate, but on their way into the arena, Sportsnet's Gene Principe, an Oilers correspondent decided to record them with his phone on the way into the arena. Matthews and Marner responded in kind.

Marner seemed to find humour in the exchange, laughing as he and Principe flashed their phones at one another. Matthews seemed much less amused. The relationship between the players and the media isn't always positive. Perhaps Matthews just wasn't in the mood for Principe's antics this morning or maybe he's simply focused on finishing out the season and getting to work in the playoffs. Who knows?
