PK Subban announced his retirement this past September after 13 seasons and 834 games with Montreal, Nashville and New Jersey. The former Norris Trophy and King Clancy winner's 9-year contract expired back in June and after contemplating the offers he received as a free agent, Subban decided to retire and focus on his broadcasting career.

ESPN announced this morning that Subban signed a three-year agreement with them where he will work mainly as a studio analyst but will also do some games during the season.

"I've known for a few weeks now. It's been tough to have known what I was going to do that and just kind of keep it close to the chest. But I'm excited now that we're now here. I had done some work last postseason and it was great. I enjoyed working with the producers and everybody."

-Subban on his new career

Subban was always outspoken and never hid his personality throughout his career and a transition to TV had always been a no-doubter whenever he called it career and he has recently done some analyst work during the playoffs. In case you need a refresher on the entertainment value Subban can bring to a broadcast, just have a look (and a laugh) at his spot-on impression of Don Cherry from 2015.
