The Arizona Coyotes are the butt of the vast majority of jokes in the National Hockey League, thanks to their horrendous arena situation after being thrown out of Gila River Arena in Glendale Arizona this summer. Now forced to play out of a college arena for at least the next 3 seasons, the Yotes have taken a ton of heat for the horrendous locker room conditions, lack of a goal horn for home games and the fact that their current capacity at Mullett Arena is approximately 5,000 and they failed to sell out the first game.

While it seems to be open season for everyone to dunk on the Coyotes and their temporary arena situation, there is one NHLer who went out of his way to pay the Yotes a compliment when it comes to their new home rink.

The Winnipeg Jets were in Arizona on Friday to take on the OG Jets (Arizona Coyotes) in their first game at Mullett Arena. The Jets skated away with a razor-close 3-2 win and after the game, Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois actually had something positive to say about the arena, stating that the ice might be the best in the entire NHL.

Can't blame Dubois for trying to make the most out of a bad situation. He and his team were forced to change on folding chairs in what basically amounts to a large tent. But, hey - silver-linings.
