Scary scene for Anthony Cirelli after collision with teammate Alex Killorn
During the second period of the game, Anthony Cirelli got tangled up behind Colorado's net with Gabriel Landeskog and Devon Toews. Nothing came of the contact between Cirelli and either Avs player, but as he falls to the ice, Killorn skates past and it appears one of his skate blades cut Cirelli in the arm.
Cirelli immediately screamed in pain and clutched his bicep as he skated hunched over to the Tampa bench. He did go straight to the Lightning dressing room and remained there the rest of the period, but did return for the third period and overtime. Both encouraging signs for Cirelli as the injury may not be as severe as initially thought.
