This past week, the Tampa Bay Lightning made a significant move, trading their top defensive prospect along with 5 draft picks to Nashville in exchange for feisty winger Tanner Jeannot. The move was Tampa's only real impact move ahead of Friday's deadline and on Saturday, we found out exactly why Tampa paid so much to bring him into the fold.

During Tampa's Saturday matinee against the Buffalo Sabres, Jeannot dropped the gloves with Sabres newcomer Riley Stillman in an attempt to get his team going after falling behind the Sabres by a score of 3-1 in the second frame. Unfortunately for Stillman, Jeannot is one tough customer and made him regret dropping the gloves almost instantly, as Jeannot knocked out his opponent with a nasty uppercut.

Stillman was in a world of hurt following the 2nd period scrap, needing some attention from the trainer following the uppercut from Jeannot. As exciting as fights can be, you never like to see a guy get hurt and struggling to get back to his feet. We obviously hope Stillman is okay. Nevertheless, impressive display by Jeannot, which brought the fans to their feet in Buffalo.
