Last night's OT loss against the New York Islanders has the Leafs sitting at 10-5-5 so far this season. To some, that may not seem so bad. However, you've got to consider how five of those OT points are losses.

An OT loss isn't anything new, but tonight's addition to the list has contributed to an Auston Matthews era stat, and the number may surprise you.

Nice, yes. But not actually, when considering the number of losses is much higher than the wins.

To be completely fair, a good bit of those losses would've been from the Babcock era when Matthews wouldn't have been started in OT. But it's interesting to see a stat like that come to light, especially after Matthews had this to say after last night's game:

Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Nonetheless, the Leafs still have a lot of time to increase the number of OT wins to help balance those wins and losses, ideally over the remainder of the season.
