After a 3-0 shutout victory against the Ottawa Senators last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs head back home to face off against the Detroit Red Wings. Head coach, Sheldon Keefe, already intimated that Matt Murray was going to be the starter for tonight's game but he also announced several more lineup changes.

Defensemen, Mark Giordano and Jake McCabe, skated briefly this morning but have both been given the night off for rest. The 39-year-old defenseman has only missed one game this year and was even named the second star of last night's game. Conor Timmins and Wayne Simmonds draw back in the lineup in their absences.

Simmonds who missed last night's game due to an illness will be returning in the lineup as he was spotted on the ice this morning during practice. He didn't stay out too long, which was a strong indication of his return. Timmins comes back in after having been a healthy scratch since the end of February.

Another notable omission from the lineup is Mitch Marner who is not in today's game as Keefe mentioned he has "bumps and bruises" and has played a lot this season. He has played in all 75 games and of courses paces the club with 67 assists and 95 points. The Leafs then called up forward, Nick Abruzzese on an emergency basis.
