Two Oilers teammates lay each other out with huge collision behind the Flames net
Ooof! In the first period of any playoff game you want to set the tone, get involved physically. It helps get you into the game and lets your opponent know you'll be there all night long. As a 4th liner, its even more important, especially in the playoffs.
Early in the first period of Game 4 between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers, Zack Kassian and Josh Archibald both decided they were going to finish their checks hard. Unfortunately for them, they both picked the same target. Even more unfortunate, they both missed Nikita Zadorov, levelling each other instead.
Initially, Archibald looked to take the worst of the hit, being sent face first into the boards by the impact. Kassian, however, was the one who had to leave the game briefly to get some repairs done. Both Edmonton forwards would return to the game.
