Sheldon Keefe said Pontus Holmberg has a future in the NHL after his performance Wednesday night against the Flyers, but with Wayne Simmonds recalled and the Bruins in town Saturday, it appears as though Holmberg will find himself in the press box on his first Saturday night in the big leagues. Along with Holmberg, Nick Robertson appears to be headed there as well for the second straight game.

At the end of the West coast road trip, Robertson saw himself play a total of just over 14 minutes against LA and Anaheim as the Leafs struggled to find any offense and hold any lead. While many may not approve of Robertson being sat after putting up 4 points in his first 6 games this season, it can be good for young players to observe a game or two here and there which allows them to see plays develop and where they should be depending on situations.

With Timothy Liljegren projected to return to the lineup on Saturday and Simmonds being re-called to suit up against the "big bad Bruins", there just wasn't enough space on the roster for an inexperienced player. The Bruins are the top team in the league at 10-1-0, so the Leafs have opted to go with a lineup who are less susceptible to rookie mistakes. (Yes, Justin Holl is still likely to dress..)
