I'm sure that just about every player in that Vegas locker room had more than his fill of alcohol during the event, but one player in specific may have gone a little bit overboard - and rightfully so. During the portion of the event where players were giving speeches, one of the team's day one players, William Karlsson, went on a drunken rant that actually saw his microphone cut off and a woman, whom many assume was his wife, trying to pry the mic out of his hand and drag him off stage.
Karlsson addressed the massive crowd that turned out in Vegas, praising them for their undying support over the team's first 6 years as an organization. He also tooted his own horn a bit with how well his first season in Vegas went, having scored 43 goals and 78 points, playing in all 82 games.
In the end, the people in attendance and the organization wanted Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault to speak. They got their wish, but not before Karlsson spoke his piece.
