Vegas goaltender Logan Thompson with shades of Ron Hextall, drills Ducks forechecker for giving him a little shove

Scarce are the days where NHL goaltenders go at players now, but once upon a time, in hockey's heyday, it happened all the time. One of the main perpetrators was Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Ron Hextall.

It's been a long time since Hextall, now an executive in Pittsburgh, has hung up the pads. But Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Logan Thompson gave us a little taste of the old Hextall fire last night in Anaheim.

For me, personally, I've always loved seeing that bit of fire and passion from a goaltender. Felix Potvin had it, Patrick Roy had it, Jordan Binnington has it and it looks like Logan Thompson has it as well.
