Women's hockey icon Sarah Nurse makes reigning Vezina Trophy winner look silly with brilliant breakaway goal
NHL All-Star weekend is upon us and just like they've done in the past year or two, the NHL has actually gotten women's hockey players involved in the festivities. During a previous event, we saw Kendall Coyne Schofield's blazing speed on display in the fastest skater competition and today we got to see Sarah Nurse's silky smooth hands on display with a brilliant goal against Igor Shesterkin.
Nurse absolutely undressing Shesterkin was something to behold. Obviously, you could argue that Shesterkin wasn't really trying, but Nurse also didn't appear to be trying overly hard either. Regardless, that's a big moment for her in her career. Women's hockey doesn't get nearly enough exposure, but perhaps events like All-Star weekend will be a step in the right direction for better marketing women's hockey.
