The NHL's oldest player, Giordano still has every intent to play this season and is currently weighing his options, according to his agent Ritch Winter on Friday's edition of Sportsnet's 'Flames Talk'.
Winter confirmed that among those interested are the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Buffalo Sabres. Giordano could been a fall-back plan for the Leafs if Jani Hakanpaa is indeed unable to continue his career.
The 40-year-old skated in just 46 games for the Leafs last season and missed 24 games due to a broken finger and concussion. In those 46 games, Giordano tallied just nine points. Over his 1148 career regular season games, has accumulated a total of 577 points.
As Brad Treliving had previously stated, "you can never have too many defensemen", and while Giordano is no longer an every night player, the NHL's all-time shot blocking leader still has some value to an NHL team as a 7th or 8th defenseman.
