"The Toronto Maple Leafs dropped their second straight game last night as they lost to the defending Stanley Cup champ St. Louis Blues. While it was another loss, there was a couple of bright spots which included William Nylander scoring his second goal of the season. Nylander scored for the second straight game and now has four points in four games. Head coach Mike Babcock really appreciated Nylander's effort in Monday's game. "That was his best, by far. He had the puck, he got the puck, he got it back, he made things happen. It was his most competitive game this year. It'd be one we'd like to see, obviously, on a regular basis ..."
While Babcock had some praise for Nylander, he didn't play him during the final minute of the game.
