The Toronto Maple Leafs are fighting it out for first place in the Atlantic Division at the moment only one point behind the Tampa Bay Lightning. Things might be lining up for the Leafs jumping back into that first spot. The Lightning announced today their starting goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy will be sidelined indefinitely after fracturing his foot. While the Lightning were full of bad news today, the Leafs got a boost of good news. Auston Matthews was skating with his teammates today during practice taking part in drills. Matthews has been skating before practice for just about a week and it's the first time he's actually skated with his teammates. The Leafs young forward is getting closer to a return!
