"The Toronto Maple Leafs took it to the Edmonton Oilers last night and skated away with a 6-2 victory. However the team lost a big part of their blueline moving forward. Not only did Jake Gardiner miss last night's game due to back spasms and is labelled as week to week, now the Leafs have lost Travis Dermott. Dermott took a tough hit and slammed into the boards and while it looked an arm injury, it's actually his shoulder. The Leafs announced tonight that Dermott will miss at least the next four weeks with a shoulder injury. On Monday general manager Kyle Dubas said he was comfortable not making a move for another defenseman because of the team's depth, and it's already being tested right now.
