"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas had a very busy day. With the clock ticking and rosters needed to be trimmed down by opening night, Dubas made some major roster cuts on Monday. Dubas has cut the teams roster down to 26 players after cutting 14. From the Leafs' press report:"The following players have been loaned to the Toronto Marlies or placed on waivers for the purposes of being loaned to the Marlies: Kenny Agostino, Joey Anderson, Justin Brazeau, Rourke Chartier, Pierre Engvall, Tyler Gaudet, Mac Hollowell, Michael Hutchinson, Teemu Kivihalme, Timothy Liljegren, Martin Marincin, Nic Petan, Calle Rosen and Scott Sabourin."
