"The National Hockey League is mourning the passing of one of its legendary players tonight as Hall of Fame goaltender Johnny Bower died after a short battle with pneumonia.
Bower, who won four Stanley Cups for the Toronto Maple Leafs, was 93. His family was the first to report the news of his passing.

Bower will not only be remembered for his great play over his 15-year career with both the New York Rangers and Maple Leafs, but also for being a true gentleman and ambassador of the game off of the ice.
Bower won 250 games, four Stanley Cups and two Vezina Trophies after spending 12 seasons in the American Hockey League before becoming the Maple Leafs top net minder at age 34!
