When the NHL resumes it's 2019-21 season, it'll likely involve having only a couple of host cities where NHL teams will play. The city of Toronto is interested in being one of those host cities and it sounds like it has the province of Ontario's support. Ontario Premier Doug Ford confirmed that he's been in contact with the MLSE.The two sides would like to explore the idea of making Toronto a "hockey pod" for the NHL when it returns. Unfortunately for hockey hungry fans, they probably won't be allowed into arenas.Teams will be in lockdown staying at hotels near the arena and fans won't be allowed anywhere near them. Ontario's chief medical officer of health, Dr. David Williams, is excited to see what the NHL will propose.
