"The Toronto Maple Leafs have a big summer ahead and what makes it more interesting is that it's Kyle Dubas' first big test as general manager. He's left with some big choices to make regarding James van Riemsdyk, Tyler Bozak, Leo Komarov, Tomas Plekanec, Dominic Moore and Roman Polak, he could easily let them all walk. Saving the cap space for next summer when he'll have to address the Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner contracts, that's of course if he doesn't sign them to contract extensions this summer. One player that Leaf fans will agree he can't let walk or trade away is restricted free agent, William Nylander. If Dubas is close to getting a contract signed with Nylander, doesn't look like he wants anybody to know. "When there's movement about that, it'll be released from the PR department." Looks like Kyle was trained well by Lou!
Kyle Dubas today on if there's been any progress negotiating contracts with free agents like William Nylander: "When there's movement about that, it'll be released from the PR department." — James Mirtle (@mirtle) May 24, 2018
