"Just a couple of days after Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas said he was willing to meet William Nylander's demands regarding term on a new contract, Nylander might not like the price attached. With Nylander still holding out and without contract, the Leafs young forward was left off the training camp roster and it looks like Dubas isn't willing to write Nylander a blank check. "If we want to sustain success here we can't be setting any marketplace records," Dubas said, according to Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star. "Sometimes players might not like it very much, but I'm sure they'd rather win than be on a team that can't."Dubas has previously stated that he's planning to sign all three of Nylander, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner long term.
