Erik Karlsson reveals favourite pre-game meal and it looks as bad as it sounds

NHL players can be very superstitious, so when they find something that works for them, they can tend to stick with it, whether it be a puckhandling routine before a game, a specific piece of equipment they've had forever or even a pre-game meal, such as Erik Karlsson's.

Barstool Sports re-shared a video from Hockey Clips on Twitter/X on Monday, showcasing Karlsson's unusual pasta concoction and the reactions to the dish are what you might expect once you learn what's in it.

Karlsson revealed that his favourite pre-game meal consists of pasta, Alfredo sauce, meat sauce, raw red onion, hot sauce and ketchup, with a little salt and pepper.

Listen - to each their own, but I'm certainly not going to go out of my way to try this dish.

For Karlsson, though, as he had suggested, it has worked wonders for him over his 15-year NHL career. Certainly one of the best offensive defensemen of his generation, far be it for me to tell him what to eat and what not to eat, but it's definitely not for me.
