On Sunday morning, the Maple Leafs capped off their annual Development Camp with a blue vs white scrimmage game, giving the prospects and invitees a chance to show what they can do in game action.
The event featured some of the Leafs' top prospects, including 2024 draftees Ben Danford and Miroslav Holinka, as well as previous draftees a little further along in their development, like Easton Cowan and 2022 2nd round pick Fraser Minten.
For Minten, who is more of a 200-foot player than he is a pure goal scorer, the shootout at the end of the scrimmage provided him with a great opportunity to show some of the skill that we may not see on a nightly basis from the defensively responsible center.
Minten wowed the crowd at Ford Performance Centre in Toronto with a sick little dangle before casually tucking the puck through the 5-hole.
Minten is expected to make a strong push to join the Maple Leafs this season after another strong season and a tremendous amount of individual growth on both sides of the puck.
The Vancouver, BC native produced 22 goals and 48 points across 43 games, split between the Kamloops Blazers and Saskatoon Blades last season.
