Intriguing proposal would see the Maple Leafs land a $7.1M player

The Toronto Maple Leafs are the centre of the hockey universe, as is proven by a recent trade proposal that would land the Leafs a $57M player in a blockbuster deal.
The deal has emerged thanks to a new tool on the popular hockey website, PuckPedia, who have introduced "PuckGM" after the departure of the ever popular CapFriendly.com, which was shut down recently after being purchased by the Washington Capitals.
PuckPedia, a site dedicated to amalgamating a wide array of stats, salary information and player values to give fans all of the information they're looking for in once convenient spot, seems to be upping the game with their new roster adjustment tool, allowing fans to create their own unique trade offers. A recent offering has emerged between Toronto and Utah in the form of an 11-player blockbuster trade.
Obviously, the two major components in this deal would be Mitch Marner and Clayton Keller - an idea that has been proposed in the past. Keller; a productive winger with 520 games of NHL experience, has tallied 418 career points and is very close with Leafs franchise cornerstone
Auston Matthews. A deal like this could help soften the blow of losing Marner for Matthews.
Marino and McBain are both relatively young pieces who can give the Leafs some different looks on the blueline and down the middle of the ice. McBain is especially attractive because of his ability to fill an area of need in Toronto, as a quality 3C.
Marner, who has blown Keller out of the water in terms of his overall production, has racked up 639 points in 575 career regular season games. There's no doubt that the Leafs likely get a little bit worse in this deal, but with Marner owning a full NMC, having just 1 year remaining on his current contract and expected to pursue a deal that could eclipse $13M per season beginning in 2025-26, it makes him a tough asset to move in any trade that the Leafs would win.
The additional pieces here would largely be viewed as balancing pieces, though Liljegren still carries some value and remains a good bet to pan out as an NHL defenseman over the long haul.
This isn't necessarily a deal that I would make if I was Leafs GM Brad Treliving, but this new tool from PuckPedia does give us some fun proposals to think about and debate over a long summer with limited hockey news.
