The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to add depth to the organization as they have announced two more free agent signings in Philippe Myers and Cedric Pare.

The Maple Leafs announced deals for Myers, a towering 6'6" defenseman, and Paré, a 6'4" forward, on Tuesday. This keeps in line with GM Brad Treliving's preferred "heavy hockey" roster style. Both deals are worth $775K, though Pare's deal is a two-way deal, meaning he earns less if he plays in the American Hockey League. These deals were announced shortly after it was revealed by The Athletic's Jonas Siegel that former Iowa Wild captain Dakota Mermis had also signed in Toronto.
The 27-year-old Myers spent most of last season with the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL, where he collected 23 points. The undrafted free agent has played in 158 regular season games, registering 36 points and previously spent 16 games with the Toronto Marlies in 2021-2022 after being loaned to Toronto by the Nashville Predators.
Pare spent last season with in Colorado in the AHL where he posted 35 points in 61 games with the Colorado Eagles. The 25-year-old is a big body, weighing in at 205-pounds, and has 69 points in 148 regular season games in his AHL career.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the roster shakes out with the Leafs currently $1.5M over the salary cap. There may be a move coming, though it's important to note that all 3 of today's signings are likely to begin the year with the Marlies.
