Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews and William Nylander had perfect reactions to being booed by the Montreal crowd during the 4 Nations Face-Off opening ceremony.
However, as William Nylander and Auston Matthews were introduced, the fans in attendance reminded them that they are not very well liked in Montreal. Both players were met with a chorus of boos from the Habs' faithful, but took it in stride with a pair of great reactions.
Matthews had a smirk on his face and waved to the crowd as he made his way out to center ice with a Team USA jersey over his suit.
Nylander had a little fun with the crowd, smiling until the camera showed him on the jumbotron before quickly reverting to a more serious look.
Nylander and Sweden opened the tournament against Marner and Canada on Wednesday night in a less-than-ideal way giving up a power-play goal to Nathan MacKinnon less than a minute into the game.
Matthews and Team USA will open the tournament Thursday against Finland where he will likely be met with more boos.
