Popular analyst makes a case for the Leafs bringing the "Core 4" back

Paul Biz Nasty Bissonnette has been an outspoken supporter of the Leafs, and while some of his antics are goofy at times, he makes a very intriguing point on the Leafs' "Core 4" here.

Biz Nasty explains how he think the Leafs should "make Mitch Marner have a contract year" and have him prove how good he is, and why he deserves to get a raise on his next contract extension.

Biz goes on to say if Mitch doesn't think he deserves the scrutiny that he got this year based on his performance, that he should simply "prove it", as there will likely be a big shake up incoming with new head coach Craig Berube taking the wheel.

The popular analyst also mentions that he doesn't care about his (Marner's) 100 points in the regular season and Biz makes a good point here. If Marner wants to be paid like a superstar, he needs to play like one in the playoffs.

While this approach of keeping the "Core 4" together one more time seems to be a very unpopular one in Leafs Nation, that does not mean its not the right one.

If the Leafs go down this road, Marner will need to be lights out all season, but, more importantly, in the playoffs as well.
