"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas have been busy so far this season as there's lots of speculation a trade is coming. While most fans and analysts would like to see the team land some more defensive help, the team seems pretty determined to land another forward and could actually give up a defenseman in said move. A name that's been circulating a lot lately is Travis Dermott who's involved in a couple of trade rumours. However according to NHL insider Chris Johnston the Leafs have had a change of heart.
Johnston reports that the Leafs could actually end up keeping Travis Dermott and ship out a different defenseman. That defenseman is Mikko Lehtonen who they brought over from the KHL. Johnston adds that the Leafs just aren't sure he fits into their plans and he could be the one sacrificed for some forward help instead. The 27 year old has played in four games so far this season with one assist to show for it. Are you surprised the Leafs are ready to give up on him so early?"
