Report: Leafs Lose Defenseman To KHL.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs have lots of questions surrounding their blue line next year, and one seems like it just got answered. It might not be the answer the Leafs were hoping for. KHL Team Ak Bars Kazan has acquired the rights to Leafs' defenseman Igor Ozhiganov from CSKA Moscow and all indications point to him returning to Russia this summer. After signing a one year deal with the Leafs this summer, Ozhiganov will become RFA on July 1st however will chose the KHL over staying in Toronto. Ozhiganov received lots of ice time during the first half of the season, however saw that ice time dwindle significantly once Jake Muzzin was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings. The 26 year old registered three goals and four assists during 53 games this past season.
