The Toronto Maple Leafs need help on defense, while some can deny it, the team needs a boost on the blueline if they're looking for some playoff success. While rumours continue to build regarding a possible William Nylander trade to the Hurricanes for a young defenseman, the solution might actually be in Los Angeles. TSN's Darren Dreger and The Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch both report that Kings' defenseman Alec Martinez's name is starting to buzz on the trade block. While Martinez is a left handed defenseman, he can actually play the right side as he's doing right now with Jake Muzzin on the left. Martinez can play defense and also move the puck while only carrying a contract that carries an annual average value of $4million through 2020-21. The 31 year old was part of both the 2012 and 2014 Stanley Cup winning Kings' teams. Would you be willing to give up Nylander if it meant landing Martinez?
