"The Toronto Maple Leafs will take to the ice for the first time this season without forward Auston Matthews. They'll have to do so for at least the next four weeks as Matthews was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. John Tavares will take Matthews place on the first line between Zach Hyman and Kasperi Kapanen. Nazem Kadri will play in his 500th career NHL game and he'll do so playing with Patrick Marleau and Mitchell Marner. Kadri isn't the only Leaf hitting a milestone as Morgan Rielly will play his 400th game and Marleau will be looking for his 600th assist in the NHL. Frederik Andersen will get his fifth start in a row and look to improve on his 6-3-0 record, while Ontario native Mike Smith gets the start for the Flames. Calgary has lost their last three games after getting off to a hot 5-2-0 start. The Leafs will try and shut down forward Johnny Gaudreau who has seven points in his last seven games. Here's a look at tonight's full projected lineups for both teams:Maple Leafs projected lineup
