It was revealed on Thursday that Ryan Reaves dropped the mother of all quotes following Tuesday's win in hopes of helping to fuel a full-blown Leafs comeback ahead of Game 6.

The Leafs rolled into Boston on Tuesday with one goal in mind: win Game 5 and bring the series back home to Toronto in Game 6, to then give themselves the best chance possible to force a final and deciding Game 7 this weekend. They did just that, thanks to a 2-goal effort from William Nylander and another sensational performance from Joseph Woll.

The team, minus Auston Matthews, who missed Game 5 and Game 6 with a mysterious ailment, did exactly what they set out to do in Boston, securing a 2-1 OT win to set up tonight's game on home ice. Following Tuesday's win, Ryan Reaves delivered an emphatic message to the team that helped propel them to a Game 6 win as well.

"[We] planted the f***ing seed... Let's go home and water that b***h!"

Reaves' intensity, experience and leadership qualities were just a few of the reasons why the Leafs brought him in on a 3-year deal as a UFA this past summer. Sure, there were some bumps in the road throughout this season, but when push came to shove, Reaves came to play and made a believer out of Sheldon Keefe, who has been very complimentary of the veteran winger in recent weeks.

Reaves was not in the lineup for Game 6, but his presence was still felt and his message to the team seemed to light a fire under them. Hopefully, they can get the job done in Boston in Game 7 to complete the full comeback.
