The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas will be looking to make a move before the NHL Trade Deadline. Dubas needs to land some defensive help or an upgrade on Michael Hutchinson if they hope for any playoff success or even to make the playoffs. As the Leafs are on their bye week, the team is on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture. A solution has been talked about for the backup goalie situation and that's New York Rangers' goalie Alexandar Georgiev. His cap hit at $792k is something the Leafs would be able to maneuver into their tight cap situation however the Rangers know that and are looking to milk the Leafs' for a quality asset. According to James Mirtle of The Athletic, the Rangers want one of Kasperi Kapanen, Andreas Johnsson or Alexander Kerfoot in return. A high price to pay considering Georgiev doesn't have a big resume yet. In 65 career NHL games, Georgiev has a 30-26-6 record along with a 3.00 goals against average and .914 save percentage. Would you be willing to give up one of the Leafs' young forwards for the 23 year old goalie?
