With the regular season less than a month away from kicking off, the Maple Leafs officially unveiled their broadcasting schedule, which will include 36 games airing nationally on Sportsnet.
On top of that, the Maple Leafs will be featured on Amazon's Prime Video 6 times. This will be the first season that Amazon Prime Video will be airing NHL games but it won't be the first time they've broadcasted sports as they have the rights to Thursday Night Football.
The importance behind Amazon Prime Video for many viewers is that it will be the first time that some Maple Leafs' games will be unavailable to the viewing public through television broadcast - it can only be streamed - according to Nick Barden of The Hockey News.
The 6 games airing on Prime Video include: October 21st against the Tampa Bay Lightning, October 28th against the Winnipeg Jets, December 2nd against the Chicago Black Hawks, January 20th against the Lightning again, March 3rd against the San Jose Sharks, and March 17th against the Calgary Flames.
14 games will additionally be aired on Sportsnet Ontario and the other 26 games will be featured on TSN.
As for radio, the Maple Leafs' games will be split between Sportsnet 590 The FAN and TSN 1050.
