In an attempt to promote the game of hockey even further, the NHL has teamed up with Amazon Prime yet again for an exciting feature that will have an NFL-esque feel to the games, highlights, and much more.
One of the more popular ways to watch the NFL is through "Red Zone", which is essentially a non-stop broadcast of all the touchdowns and highlight reel plays from every game and live-action from within the 20-yard line.
It seems like the NHL is following suit with what they're calling "Amazon Prime Coast to Coast" which will air every Thursday night and will have live action cut-ins of the more exciting situations in the NHL, according to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.
The new feature will include a star-studded cast and crew that will be hosted by Andi Petrillo, the former CBC studio member as well as the long-time radio voice for Leafs Lunch on TSN 1050, among other ventures.
Among other things, Amazon will be featuring NHL games, including 6 for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and they will also have a docu-series airing on the 4th of October that followed 12 superstars from around the league last year. William Nylander was among the 12 players chosen for the feature.
